Connie Francis, The Golden Voice

There is one singer whose voice can stop my world. Whenever I hear her songs playing on the air, I could not help but stop and take a pause to give way to fascination. This voice who captured my heart belongs to none other than Connie Francis, an American Pop artist whose singing career was at its peak from the 50's to the 60's. It was so many years ago but even then, Connie’s recordings are still alive and have never failed to captivate. Her voice is the most stunning voice I’ve ever heard. Indeed a lot more have beautiful voices but the quality of Connie's tone is beyond compare. The dept of emotion in her every rendition is truly exceptional. She has a distinguished competence both in downbeat ballad and upbeat rock and rolls. This made her unforgettable all through the years. Her magnificent vocal style never falters. She sings her melody with ease whether it is in her sobbing or gleeful easy style. In all her songs her peculiar expressiveness never fails to capture my heart. My apologies to other singers, but I would say her voice is the most beautiful of all. I've never heard such an awesome voice in all my life. It has perfect sharpness and sweetness found in no one. Indeed, Connie is an exceptional talent worth of every admiration. She delivers her songs with contagious emotion. Her tone is hooking and its elegance is beyond compare. She belts out high notes with no difficulty and yet it remains exceptionally lovely.

Her voice flows like a river in songs like: Carolina Moon, Games Lovers Play, My Wild Irish Rose and the likes. I'd feel like young and in love again when I hear her songs like Beautiful Brown Eyes, Young Love, Secret Love, Love is Me, Love is You, Lollipop Lips, Your Cheating Heart and many others.

She delights and brings me into a dancing mood as I hear her cheerful melodies like: Que sera, sera, Please Mr. Love, Never On A Sunday, Lipstick On Your Collar, Stupid Cupid, Vacation, Everybody Loves Somebody Sometimes, Someone Else's Boy, Everybody Somebody's Fool, Pretty Little Baby and all her upbeat collection.

Her renditions of songs: All the Love in The World, You're my Everything, Love me With All of Your Heart, I Can't Stop Loving You, High Noon, God Bless America, and I Will Wait For You are all but amazing.

Without exaggeration, my tears always fall in admiration and fascination every time I hear her songs: Tammy, No One Ever Sent Me Roses, My Foolish Heart, Who's Sorry Now, Carolina Moon, All Alone Am I, Breaking in a Brand New Broken Heart, and my special favorite song, For Mama.

Her passionate rendition is endearing in The Shadow of Your Smile and Love me Tender, It's the End of the World, and Papers Roses. I believe other versions of these songs pale in comparison to Connie’s

Her versatility is admirable in songs like "La Paloma, Al Di La, Malaguena, Lili Marlene, Hava Nagila, Die Lieve Ist Ein Seltsame, Invierno Triste, Tango Italiano, Libeskummer Lohnt Sich, Addio Mi Amore. All the more impressive is the fact that she has recorded songs in 13 other languages namely: Greek, German, Swedish, Dutch, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Hebrew, Yiddish, Japanese, Latin and Hawaiian. That is a very impressive record for a singing career. Undoubtedly this woman is an incomparable talent.

How could this lady be gifted with such an awesome voice? She is to me the one and the only golden voice of all times. Indeed, the voice of Connie Francis has the distinction that exceeds all positive superlatives. She deserves a big, big … BRAVO!!!
